Guide lines
To be a Christian Mother, you must be enrolled at a service with the Priest conducting the ceremony during the Annual meeting.
AN ACTIVE MEMBER benefits are:
- A mass offering said by the monks at the Benedictine Center at Schuyler NE when hospitalized or being very ill
- Once a month a mass is offered for all members of the organization
- When an active member dies, a total of four (4) masses are said in their honor.
- An honor guard is formed by the organization on the day of the funeral.
- A rosary is said by the members for the deceased.
AN INACTIVE MEMBER becomes just that if after three (3) years her dues to the organization are not current. At the time of death, ONLY a rosary is said by the organization but NO masses are given for her intention.
The Christian Mothers are requested to gather after each mass on the FIRST SUNDAY OF EACH MONTH to recite prayers for their children and families.
The Archconfranternity of Christian Mothers ruling is:
ONCE A CHRISTIAN MOTHER.......ALWAYS A CHRISTIAN MOTHER.
